Paul Ting Energy Vision LLC provides value-added research in global energy industries that aid the clients in making strategic investment decisions. The research is focused on generating actionable investment ideas both for the long term oriented investors as well as short term trading oriented investors. Our research is global in nature but the focus is on the important yet under-researched energy industries in China. China has been an important driver for global commodities for many years. Changes in China's macro policies, energy policies and in China's demand-supply trends have impacted energy prices, be it oil, gas or coal. China will be increasingly important in driving future energy prices. Furthermore, research in China's energy industry is extremely complex; the policies require interpretation, the data-such as inventory, margins, consumption- can be opaque, and research in the energy industry is particularly complex since the industry is in the process of transformation. Yet, investment strategies based on accurate and timely analysis of these complex energy issues can result in advantageous returns to the investors. We believe that investment in the global energy industry is "borderless" as changes in one sector will impact investment opportunities in other sectors. Changes in China's power sector impacts the world-wide coal sector which in turn creates opportunities to the oil sector. PTEV research aims to seek investment opportunities via this "borderless" approach.
